Gilayon is a reconstructed Hebrew counterpart to the Judeo-Greek term for apocalypse, according to Cambridge University Press and Assessment. In the context of early Jewish revealed literature, "Gilayon" refers to a "Revealed book" or "Book of Revelation", often associated with apocalyptic literature.
The expression of Sanet Swart
I've always loved art and have tried many times in the past to embrace it, in whichever form. Be it music, ceramic, paint, photography … the desire to express myself artistically has always been there.
I love story telling, and I try to tell a story in whichever art form I choose. I have many hours of informal training in many different art forms and can only express my gratitude that I now have the opportunity to present this to you.
I also love God and try to honour him in all my artwork. Gilayon is a blend of my love for God, my love for art, my love for story-telling and a hope that these paintings will inspire the viewer to consider the complete book of Revelation earnestly.
